Further Information

21 months for Chapter I applications and 31 months for Chapter II applications from earliest priority date for entering national phase under PCT.

Formative for all applications but inventions relating to specified fields may be subjected to a substantive examination.

The patent has a duration of 10 years from the date of filing or the PCT International filing date, with possible extensions of two further terms of 5 years each.

Maintenance fees / Renewal fees
Annual maintenance fees are payable from the first anniversary of the filing date or from the PCT International filing date.
