Filing Requirements

Power of Attorney
Legalised up to the Libyan Consulate, must be filed within 2 months of the filing date. A copy of a notarised Power of Attorney is required upon filing.

Artwork
Drawings or photographs are required upon filing.

Description of the design
A description of the views and summary of the features in Arabic and English.

Certificate of Incorporation
(if the applicant is a company), which must be legalised and filed within 2 months of the filing date

Deed of Assignment
Must be legalised (no set deadline).

Priority Documents
(if applicable) Must be filed within 3 months of the filing date.

Further Information

Deadlines
Priority can be claimed 6 months from the first filing date according to the Paris Convention.

Duration and Renewal
The design has an initial term of 5 years from the date of filing, with possible extensions of two further terms of 5 years each upon payment of the required renewal fees.
