Filing Requirements

Power of Attorney
Must be notarised and legalised up to the Angolan Consulate.

Drawings, photographs or a sample of the design/model
Required upon filing.

Deed of Assignment
Must be notarised and legalised up to the Angolan Consulate.
The document must be filed within 3 months of the filing date.

Priority Document
If applicable, together with a verified Portuguese translation
Must be filed within 3 months of the filing date.

Further Information

Deadlines
Priority can be claimed 6 months from the first filing date according to the Paris Convention.

Duration
The design has an initial term of 5 years from date of filing, with possible extensions of two further terms of 5 years each.

Maintenance fees/Renewal fees
Annual maintenance fees are payable from the first anniversary of the filing.
There is a 6-month grace period to pay the fees.
